Dr. Pat Fulgham is a board certified urologist who has been in private practice at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas at Urology Clinics of North Texas since 1987. He is a graduate of Texas A & M and received his medical training and urology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
Dr. Fulgham's practice is limited to adult urology. He takes care of patients with conditions affecting the bladder, kidneys, prostate, testes, and penis. Some of the surgical procedures he performs include: Robot-assisted laparoscopic (da Vinci®) procedures of the prostate and kidney, cystectomy, resection of bladder tumors, PVP laser ablation of the prostate to treat BPH, ESWL and lithotripsy of urinary stones, resection of kidney tumors, vasectomy, etc. The practice, Urology Clinics of North Texas, also has a radiation center for the treatment of prostate cancer.
Dr. Fulgham has served as president of the Texas Urological Society, President of the Medical Staff at Presbyterian and is currently Surgical Director of Oncology Services at Presbyterian. Under his leadership the hospital’s cancer program received theAmerican College of Surgeons Commission on CancerOutstanding Achievement Award four times.
In 2008, Dr. Fulgham received the American Urologic Association’s Distinguished Service Award for his contributions in ultrasound education. He is chairman of the Urologic Diagnostic & Therapeutic Imaging Committee of the American Urologic Association and serves on the Health Policy Committee and Education Council for the American Urologic Association.
In honor of his work in the community for conducting free prostate cancer screenings and educational programs and his work nationally and internationally educating urologists, the Dallas Business Journal named him a Health Care Hero in 2008.
In March 2018 Dr. Fulgham was ranked in the top 1% of doctors in the nation for patient satisfaction scores in Press-Ganey surveys.
